Born in Oxford, MS, to Ed and Rena Nerren Gossett, Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and was also retired from the Big Yank Corporation.. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lyles Hodge, her second husband, James Smith and her son, Jim Hodge. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, Shelby Baker of Oxford, MS and Phyllis Lofton of Hernando, MS; sons, Larry Smith of Lula, MS, Benny Smith of Nesbitt, MS and Bill Smith of Southaven, MS; sister, Janie Daniels of Oxford, MS; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren..
