Dorothy Burline (McGinnis) Whetsell, 88, of Kingwood, WV, died on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Burline was born, October 4, 1927, in Brandonville, a daughter of the late Jesse R. and Elma (Miller) McGinnis.
She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had many friends. Burline retired after 25 years as a typesetter for Sheidow Bronze. She was a member of the FOE ladies auxiliary and the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department ladies auxiliary where she served as 2014 Lady Fireman. In addition she volunteered for other organizations.
She is survived by one daughter and spouse, Cindy and Richard Livengood of Kingwood; two sons, Randy Whetsell and Mark Whetsell, both of Kingwood; two grandchildren and spouse, Tammy and Mike Jackson, Tim and Francis Livengood; three great-grandchildren, Bentley and Evan Livengood, Jordan Jackson; one brother and spouse, Donald “Butch” and Pat McGinnis of Kingwood; four special sisters-in-law, Patty, Greta, Joy, and Paula.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ronald, Charles, James, and Kenneth McGinnis; two sisters, Marcenna Bolyard, Pauline Whetsell.
