Dorothy Ann Overbeck, 69 of Sandoval, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. She was born April 17, 1945 in Salem, daughter of J.W. Cavins and Martha (Guyman) Cavins. She married Ira “Gus” Overbeck in 1968 and he survives in Sandoval.
In addition to her husband of 46 years, she is also survived by a son, Dennis Overbeck and wife Debbie of Centralia; a daughter, Rhonda Newnum and special friend Allen Wilson of Centralia; four grandchildren: Jason Altenbaumer of Hoyleton, Marah Elliott and husband Mike of Germantown, Kelsey Wilson of Centralia and Katie Overbeck of Centralia; three great grandchildren: Justice Altenbaumer, Morgan Elliott and Sawyer Elliott; a brother, Jim Cavins of St. Louis, MO; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bob Cavins. Dorothy enjoyed making crafts, sewing, crocheting and cooking. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family.
