Dorothy “Debbie” Anders 64, was born in Sampson County on August 15, 1957, to Mable Anders Mason (Late Nelson) and Thomas E Parker (Ida). She departed this life on June 5, 2022.

Debbie received her education in Sampson County School System and was a graduate of Garland High School. Debbie served in the United States Army for a short term. She was also a truck driver for Barnhill Contracting and later earned two associate degrees from Sampson Community College in Cosmetology and Information Systems. She began working in Criminal Justice until her health began to decline.

She has a love for family, friends, her dogs, and music. She loved gardening in her spare time and helping others, but most of all spending time with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memories; Two sons Arnold Burfict (Maribel) of Waterbury, CT, and Terrell Anders of the home. Three daughters Jatelya Anders (Lorenzo), Pia-Iabra’ Anders, and Yanikia Cromartie of Garland, NC. Mother Mable Mason (Late Nelson) of Waterbury, CT; Father Thomas E. Parker (Ida) of Garland, NC. Four sisters Phyllis Mason and Nelcie Mason of Waterbury, CT. Terry Howard (Darren) of Duluth, GA; Teretha McNeil of Rosehill, NC. Brother, Thomas E. Parker Jr. of Hackensack, New Jersey, and Thomas L. Robinson (Debra) of Glen Burnie, Md.  Seven grandchildren: Nyla, Arriyah, Khalil, Glendon, Paige, Peyton, and Paisley. One Aunt Odessa Rainey (Edward) of Virginia Beach, VA. Adopted daughter: Antionette Treadwell; Two Special Friends: Alberta Buie and Brenda Robinson as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
