Those left to honor Dorothy’s memory are her two sons, Robert “Gene” (and Rose Ann) Steenhoek of Northfield, Minnesota; and Tim “TJ” (and Vicky) Steenhoek of Austell, Georgia; her daughter, Connie Steenhoek of Newton; her daughter-in-law: Judy Steenhoek of Marengo, Iowa; four grandchildren; her brother, Robert “Bob” (and Ginny) Anderson of Cookeville, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anna (Kvidera) Anderson; husband, Marvin in 2005; and her son, Fred in 1996.
Dorothy was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, Iowa. She was also a graduate of the Jenny Edmondson School of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a Public Health Nurse and a Homemaker.
Dorothy grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and has lived in Newton since 1950.
