Dorothy A. Ruge, 94, of Laurens, formerly of Spirit Lake passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019, at the Laurens Care Center in Laurens, IA.
Dorothy was born on October 8, 1924, the daughter of Leo and Clara Jenkins in Cherokee, IA. Dorothy was united in marriage to Delmar Ruge on February 24, 1947, in Worthington, MN, where they lived until 1990, when they moved to Bemidji, MN. After Delmar’s death in 1994, Dorothy moved to Spirit Lake, IA. Survivors include son Neal, granddaughters Tonya and Sadie, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Bryan, sisters Elanor and Jeni, and a brother Leo.
