Dorothea Desmond, 75, of Toms River, NJ died on Sunday, October 27, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY she lived in Bayonne and Matawan, NJ before moving to Holiday City West 12 years ago. Always the loving wife and mother, she was also a homemaker and worked in the deli department at Shop Rite in Matawan for many years.
Dottie was active in Holiday City West running Bingo and playing Bocce. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church in Matawan and St Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Twps. Predeceased by her brother Marty.
Surviving is her devoted husband of 56 years, Timothy. A son, Timothy, and his wife Sandy of Allendale, NJ. Two daughters Christine and her husband Don of Matawan, NJ and Colleen of Matawan, NJ. A sister Barbara and eight grandchildren: Amanda, Troy, Tyler, Rob, Bailey, Riley, Tyler and Kerryann.
