Mrs. Dorothea “Dot” Minton, age 98, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 at the Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley, Alabama. She was born on January 3rd, 1923 in Halifax County, North Carolina.
Mrs. Minton is survived by her three sons, Frank (Gerri) Minton of Macon, North Carolina, Tom (Beverly) Minton of Lanett, Alabama, and Ed (Becky) Minton of Naylor, Georgia; her eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; her brother, Tom Whitehead of Washington, D.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Worley Minton; her brother, Jack Whitehead.
Mrs. Minton was of the Baptist faith.
