Dorma D. Lee, 90 of Centralia, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Centralia Manor. Mrs. Lee was born July 4, 1924, in Decatur, the daughter of Otto Schnake and Ada (Barnhill) Schnake.

She married Gilbert Lee on November 3, 1945, and he preceded her in death on May 16, 1987.

She is survived by a son, Thomas W. Lee and wife Crystal of Crawfordville, FL; a daughter, Sherry Gordon and husband Larry of Belleville; three grandchildren: Amanda Bunger of Scottsdale, Arizona, Kyle Gordon of Belleville, and Kristopher Gordon and wife Andrea of Belleville; one great-grandson: Brody Lee of Scottsdale, Arizona; a sister, Charlotte Courtney of Pinckneyville; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, La Donna Scarborough.

Dorma was a member of the Centralia Women of the Moose, VFW Women’s Auxillary, and the Zion United Church of Christ in Central City. She enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida. She was an avid dancer, card player, and Bingo player and she enjoyed gathering collectible glass baskets. She was known to her family and friends as the Road Runner. She also enjoyed going to see her son, Thomas Lee, the drummer for the band Sound Waves. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends.
