Dorlean Hawkins Rowland, 57, passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2021, in Cookeville, Tennessee. Ms. Rowland was born on December 1, 1963, to John Young Jr. and Gloria Young (Mattox) in Virginia. She was raised in Rickman, Tennessee, and played basketball for Rickman High School. She loved her family, animals, music, and sports. She was a huge fan of NASCAR, particularly Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. She was also known for being a fan of the University of Tennessee, Duke University, the Chicago Bears, and the Indianapolis Colts. Her favorite player was Peyton Manning. She will be remembered as a loving mom, a giving soul, standing up for what she believed, and her crazy sense of humor. Her memory will be kept alive by all who knew her, especially her family that will miss her every day. She was preceded in death by her father, John Young Jr. and mother, Gloria Young of Livingston, Tennessee. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Chasity Caviness (Eric) of Crawfordsville, Indiana, and Kaylia Aleman (Christina) of Kingsport, Tennessee, her granddaughters; Aspen, Liberty, and Brooklyn Caviness of Crawfordsville, Indiana, her sister; Delinda Brenzil (Scott) of Ontario, Canada, and her special dog, Bailey. Dorlean will be cremated by Tri-Star cremation in Nashville, Tennessee.
