Doris Wilson Wilkinson, age 93, of Burlington, slipped safely into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Thursday, January 5, 2017.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late John Scott Wilkinson, Sr., and the daughter of Reverend Ralph A. Wilson and Corinna Fonville Wilson, both deceased. She has one deceased brother, Walter A. Wilson.
She is survived by one son, John Scott Wilkinson, Jr., who lives in Wendell, NC.
Growing up in the Glencoe Baptist Church, where her father was pastor, she taught Sunday School classes, served as Sunday School Secretary and many other church activities. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1940. She worked with Cub Scouts and was a Past Worthy Matron of The Order of The Eastern Star.
