Doris S. DeHaven, 93, formerly of Mt. Etna, Indiana died on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 (4:10 PM) at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Doris was born in Grant County, Indiana on April 19, 1935 to Jesse and Eva Searles Hedrick. Her parents preceded her in death. Doris married Henry (Hank) A. DeHaven on May 19, 1935. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1958. She was a 1933 graduate of Banquo High School.
Doris was a former clerk at Well’s Grocery Store, Mt. Etna, IN and a secretary at Bond Oldsmobile-Cadillac in Huntington, Indiana. Survivors: 4 Sons: Lamoine (Rochelle) DeHaven, Huntington, IN.; Gene (Mary Lou) DeHaven, Huntington, IN.; Gary (Carole) DeHaven, West Lafayette, IN. and Ed DeHaven, Markle, IN. 2 Daughters: Wanda (David) Spahr, Warren, IN and Shirley (Charles) Ternet, Marion, IN. 14 Grand-children, 33 Great grand-children and 6 Great-great grand-children 3 step grand-children and 8 step great grand-children.
