Doris Israel Killgo Britt, age 78, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born June 25, 1936 in Atlanta to the late Terrell Britt and Julia Jump Woodruff. Doris was a very kind and compassionate person. She was also a wonderful and devoted mother to her children. That devotion carried over into her grandchildren as she was always very active in their lives. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Lois Britt. She is survived by her children, Vickie Bray of Sharpsburg, Freida Israel of Lexington, SC., Virgil Israel and his wife Holly of Franklin and David Israel and his wife Tracey of Locust Grove. Doris is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and her brother Royce Britt.
