Doris R. Langkamer, 74, of Bethlehem passed away, Thursday, October 2, 2014 in St. Luke’s University Hospital-Bethlehem. She was the wife of Carl Langkamer, with whom she shared over 52 years of loving marriage. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Franz X. and Marguerite (Cress) Wagner. Doris immigrated to the Lehighton area in 1953. She became a Teacher’s Aide, working with the Special Education Classes in the Bethlehem Area School District for over 22 years. Doris was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, where she was involved in a number of church activities. She loved to travel, do needlework, make Afghans, and was a great cook. Survivors: her loving husband, Carl; sons, Mark C. Langkamer and his wife, Stacey of Bethlehem and Matthew F. Langkamer and his spouse, Alan of Santa Cruz, CA; five grandchildren, Larry, Madison, Jessie, Leah and Morgan.
