Doris Marie Earhart, 86, formerly of Manassas, VA, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Fauquier Heath Rehabilitation Nursing Center in Warrenton, VA. Born on July 14, 1931 in Culleoka, TN, she was the daughter of the late Porter Houston Westmoreland and Mary Whitehead Westmoreland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leo Wilson Earhart; two sisters, Mary Louise Welch and Vera Westmoreland; and two brothers, Pleasant “JR” and Frank “Tom” Westmoreland. Doris worked as a licensed beautician in and out of her home for over 50 years. Her laugh was contagious, and she never met a stranger. Affectionately known by her family as “Granny” and “Ninny,” she enjoyed traveling, country music, playing Yahtzee, and was a wonderful cook. She is survived by her four children, Linda Rogers and husband, Jim, of Yorktown, VA, Brenda MacMurray and husband, Peter, of Warrenton, VA, Jan Earhart and wife, Phyllis, of Midland, VA; and Donna Bush and husband, Skip, of Rig, WV; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
