Doris M. Floyd, 81, of Cogan Station, died Monday, January 10, 2011 at The Gatehouse Hospice following an extended illness.

Doris was a member of St. John’s-Newberry United Methodist Church, enjoyed crocheting dolls and afghans.

Doris was a Licensed Practical Nurse, retiring from Sycamore Manor and she did private duty work.

Doris was a member of the Pennsylvania Nurses Association. She loved her poodle, Brutus, her cat, Cinnamon and her cockatiel, Gabby.

Doris loved spending time with her family and helping other people. Doris was truly loved and will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

Born March 13, 1929 in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of Vernon and Edna Raye Whitenight.

Surviving are daughters, Carol A. (Randy) Williams of Lititz, Ann M. (Jace) DiMarco of Trout Run and Bonnie S. Blair of Cogan Station; grandchildren, Jeremy Blair, Brittany Bungo, Heather DiMassimo, Dawn Worthington, Jennifer O’Brien, Brenda Strong and Angela Wingard; great grandchildren, Ashley Iiams, Toni Jo and Dominique DiMassimo, Joseph and Kelsey O’Brien, Rebecca Worthington, Kayne Bungo and James and Brianna Pinkerton; great great grandchildren, Kolton and Katelynn Iiams.

Doris was predeceased by husband’s Carl McQuillen and Richard Floyd, a daughter, Connie L. Rock, brothers, Vernon and Thomas Whitenight and sisters, Betty Fox and Grace Mosher.
