Doris Lucille Blasdell Sackett, 90, of Dillsboro, IN, formally of Rising Sun, passed away at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, March 16th, at The Waters of Dillsboro/ Ross Manor, Dillsboro, IN. Doris was born in Bright, IN on October 9, 1920, a daughter of the late Flora Inez (Grubbs) and Charles D. Blasdell. She was a graduate of Bright High School, Class of 1938. On June 28, 1939 she married Loren Cecil Sackett, who preceded her in death. Doris was a homemaker and worked along side her husband on their farm. She was a member of the Salem Hilltoppers Homemakers Club, RSVP and founded the “Kitchen Band” which still entertains at area care centers and for other groups.
