Doris (Louise) Checovetes, 78, of Bristol, widow of Eugene S. Checovetes, Sr. died Friday, July 25, 2008, at Bristol Hospital.
She was born June 4, 1930 in Maine, daughter of the late John E. and Dorothy (Robertson) Boss, Sr. A lifelong resident of Bristol, Mrs. Checovetes was employed at CIGNA for 18 years until her retirement. She was a member of St.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Checovetes and his wife, Sally of Bristol; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Checovetes of Bristol; her brother, John Boss of Bristol; her five grandchildren, Dan Checovetes , Christine Malay and her husband, Brad, Shawn Checovetes and his wife, Nickko, Sheri Julian and her husband, Eric, and Eric Checovetes; her two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Mason Julian; several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her son, Eugene “Dan” Checovetes, Jr. and her sister, Ruth Forster.
