Mrs. Doris Lane Howard, age 92, of Valley, Al., passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley.
Mrs. Howard is survived by her sister, Kate Lane Norred of Valley; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Howard; her brothers, Homer, Claude, Millie, Jim, and Bennie Earl Lane; and her sisters, Janie Tillery, Ethel Lane, Pearl Hill, and Ruth Hatchett.
Mrs. Howard was born on July 25, 1921 in Langdale, Al. to the late Ager Lane and Mary Lem Jennings Lane. She was a member of Langdale United Methodist Church . She was a life long resident of the Langdale Community and a former employee of West Point Pepperells Martex Towel Department.
