DORIS COLBERT JONES, age 68 of Nokesville, Virginia died Saturday, March 1, 2003 at Prince William Hospital, Manassas. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Nokesville. Mrs. Jones was a bus driver for Prince William County Transportation having retired in 1999 after 31 years of service. She was a charter member and past president of Asbury United Methodist Women. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Charles E. Jones, one daughter, Janice Jones Thorpe and husband, Wade of Nokesville, one son, Clarence Price Jones and wife, Sheila A. of Culpeper, her mother, Vernie Colbert Pennington, of Manassas, two sisters, Betty Lee Carter, of Reva and Darlene Smoot, of Nokesville, four grandchildren, Anthony Price Jones, Dereck Wade Thorpe, Nicholas A. Thorpe and Krista Farley and six great-grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Kaitlyn Jones, Dakota Tapp, Amanda Farley, Hunter Thorpe and W.C. quot;Fisherquot; Thorpe.
