Doris J. Woods, 78, of San Benito, Texas, passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 surrounded by her daughters and friends. She was born on November 28, 1938 to Cecil and Madeleine Christian in Raymondville, Texas.She was preceded in death by her husband Jerrold E. Woods; and her youngest daughter, Judy Parrish.Doris is survived by her son, Terry Swoveland and wife JoAnn; daughters, Sheryl Parrish and husband Rex, Billie Floyd and husband Paul, and Mary Barlow. Doris had 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.She lived in the valley for over 50 years and was an accomplished Bookkeeper, Baker, Cook, and Seamstress. She had great faith in God and was a devoted member of Baptist Temple Church in San Benito.
