Mrs. Doris J. (Thorson) Chapman, 81, of Ottawa, died Thursday morning, at Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa.
Mrs. Chapman was born on January 8, 1925 in Freedom Township to Walter and Clara (Larson) Thorson. She married Davis Wayne Chapman on August 26, 1950 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa. He died on March 4, 2002. She was a member of Stavanger Lutheran Church, Stavanger Lutheran Church Women, and was a former member of alter guild, and a former volunteer at Community Hospital of Ottawa.
She is survived by two sons; Richard (Lisa) of rural Serena and Paul (Kathy) of Wichita, KS; four grandchildren; Amanda, Claire, Adam, and Peter Chapman; two sisters; Marion Boe of Ottawa and Barbara (James) Gehler of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Orville Thorson.
