Doris Murphy passed away peacefully at BW Reflections Brick, Friday, August 21, 2021.
Doris loved living in Kenilworth for almost 70 years. She had many close friends from Richfield Avenue, Community Methodist Church, Kenilworth Seniors, Garden Club etc. She loved traveling the world with Bud, friends and family. She was always up for playing games and would not throw the game for anyone young or old; she believed in winning fair and square! Doris most enjoyed attending special occasions with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids, which they lovingly called her “GiGi”.
After raising her daughter, she was a buyer for Reed and Carnrick, where she retired over 30 years ago.
She was predeceased by the love of her life James “Bud” Murphy in 2009, her parents Elizabeth and Harry Rensing, her sisters Irene Morahan, Gladys Birrell, and Mildred Franzen, her brothers Harry Rensing and Jimmy Rensing, and her nieces Jill and Barbara and nephews Glenn and Gary.
Doris will be forever missed by her loving family: daughter Lynn Soltis and her husband Ken, Granddaughter Kendra Zarrilli and her husband Anthony, Grandson Kevin Soltis and his wife Stacy, Great Grandchildren, Grace, Ella, Anthony, Samantha and Alexandra and sister in law Grace Bell and her husband George and Nieces Diane, Carol, Janice, Patti and Donna…and all the loving and caring staff at Brandywine Reflections which treated her like a family member these past 3 years…
