The soul of an angel has gone to heaven to be greeted by her Lord on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from New Hope Valley Assisted Living. She was 88 years old. Doris Elaine Still was born on January 14, 1931 in Manton, Michigan to the late Charles and Leona (Moore) Still. Doris went to Business College at North Eastern School of Commerce. She met the love of her life, Gordon Francis Johnson in Bay City and they were married on April 6, 1952, he preceded her in death on October 1, 2015. She worked for General Motors at the Saginaw Malleable Iron Plant in the Personnel Office and St. Luke Hospital. She then worked at Teamsters, Local #486, helping many people with their pensions and financial support. Doris was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church, serving in many different ministry areas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon; and son, Chuck Johnson.
Doris’ family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of New Hope Valley and Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Doris.
