Doris Wells, 78, of Lakeview Heights, Morehead, KY, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021, peacefully at St. Claire HealthCare ICU in Morehead.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and high school sweetheart of 58 years, Mickey Wells, on February 8, 2021. Her surviving children and their spouses were the light in her life, Kelly and Shawne Wells (Pikeville, KY) and Brock and Shelly (Wells) Walter (Ashland, KY).
Doris was born June 20, 1942, in Monroe Township, Adams County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Forest and Nellie Chandler.
Doris completed her teaching degree at Morehead State University in 1986. She was a realtor for many years and retired from Morehead State University after 27 years as an administrative assistant.
She gave her life to making a difference in the world around her. Her sweet spirit will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
