Doris Marie Bireline of Adair, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Minnie Wesack was born on the family farm, Northwest of Adair, Iowa, in Guthrie County, on the 4th of May, 1919. Doris passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at the age of 90, at the Exira Care Center in Exira, Iowa, where she made her home for the past 15 years.
Doris attended rural country schools as well as St. John’s Lutheran Parochial School. Doris remained on the family farm until she married her long time friend, Fred Bireline, in Guthrie Center, Iowa. Doris’ son, Joe, was born September 5, 1948.
Through the years Doris remained a homemaker. She enjoyed embroidery and loved to talk on the telephone.
