Dora LaBelle Robson, the daughter of Rev. Paul and Ella Mae (Hill) Raymie, was born on August 5, 1911 in Mapleton, Illinois. Growing up she had lived at Rex 5 minig camps in and around Lovilia, Albia, and Hiteman, Iowa.

On March 31, 1928 LaBelle was united in marriage to John Norman Robson in Newton, Iowa.  They moved to Chicago, Illinois for two years and then returned to Newton. During her working years, LaBelle worked at the Maytag Company in Plant 1, Automatic Assembly and Plant 2.  She had also been part owner of the Tip-Top Cafe and had worked at the Newton Foundry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Norman Robson in 1971; her two sons, Donald and John Norman Robson, Jr.; her two grandsons, Allen and David Robson; and her three sisters, Alta Mae Rosson, Laura Marie Bettis, and Mildred Hazel Dowd in infancy.  Those left to honor her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia J. and Robert Banks of Newton; her two daughters-in-law, Peral Eileen Robson and Barbara Kay Robson both of Newton; her eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her many great-great-grandchildren.
