Dora F. (Gaut)Gosbin, 94, of North Liberty, IN, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN.
She was born to the late William McKinley and Flossie Mae (Warren) Gaut in Nappanee, IN, and has lived in North Liberty since 1949. Along with her parents; she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jean Miller; Maxine Ryman; one brother, Charles Gaut; and her first husband, Virgil Reed.
Dora was a seamstress at Ball Band for five years, and then went to K-Mart, where she worked for five years as a Deli Clerk. Following K-Mart, she worked at Indiana Trailer Supply, where she sewed awnings.
On December 11, 1947, as Dora Reed, she married Richard Arnold Gosbin in South Bend, IN. He died on June 20, 1986.
Dora is survived by her two daughters, Sandra (David) Newhart of South Bend, IN; Donna Dee (Ralph) Rutkowski of South Bend, IN; two sons, Gilbert G. (Edna) Reed of Nappanee, IN; Richard B. (Pamala) Gosbin of Niles, MI; 26 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda L. (Allan) Corwin of Wakarusa, IN.
Dora loved to crochet; work cross word puzzles; do jig saw puzzles; dance; bake pies; and enjoyed playing Euchre.
