Mrs. Dora Denise “Niecy” Allen-Cromwell, daughter of Lorraine Thornton and Robert Thomas Allen Sr., was born on July 21, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois. The youngest of seven children, Dora professed her faith in Jesus Christ and attended Grace Presbyterian Church. She was educated in the Chicago public schools and attended Westchester Community College for a degree in Medical Billing and Coding.
In 1993, she was united in holy matrimony to Rubbin Kweku Cromwell in Mt. Vernon, NY. The union was blessed with two children, Ladora Ayoka Cromwell and Ruben Kweku Cromwell. Dora was remembered for her resiliency and for her loving and caring personality. Dora was a beautiful, loving, and intelligent woman who treated everyone like family. Her resilience to life’s tough situations was admirable. Dora was a selfless mother, a loving wife, and a devoted sister. She was one of the best aunts to her many nephews and nieces. To know her was to love her.
