Donnie McClanahan was born September 24, 1942 in Dalark, Arkansas to the late Henry McClanahan and Willie (Murdock) McClanahan. He was the tenth of eleven children.
Donnie received his education at the Sparkman Training High School. During his early childhood he gave his life to Christ and united with the Mt. Olive A.M.E.
