On July 29, 2021, Donnell Lambert Bowers, 57, departed this world suddenly for the comforting arms of her lord and savior Jesus Christ. She will be deeply missed by her family and countless friends that she touched over her life. The out pouring of support and prayers for the family is a testimony to the impact Donnell made in so many lives; her love with us forever.

Donnell was born in Baltimore, Maryland on Aug. 9, 1963, daughter of James H. Lambert of Elkins and the late Shannon Dove Huffman Lambert. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Brad Bowers, of Rockledge, Florida; and her son, Benjamin Bowers and partner, Rusty Gillain, of Seattle, Washington. Also surviving is her brother, Shane Lambert and wife, Laura, their son, Cooper Henry of Clermont, Florida; and daughter Courtney and husband, Phillip Snyder of Clay Center, Kansas; mother-in-law, Martha Bowers; sister-in-law, Tracie George of Elkins; uncle, Lake Huffman and wife, Cindy; uncle, Arden Huffman and wife, Linda, both of Harman; and Linda, fiancee of James; and many cousins and distant relatives.

Donnell graduated from Elkins High School in 1981; attended West Virginia University and completed her undergraduate studies at Davis & Elkins College. She married in 1983 and followed her husband for 20 years during multiple military assignments, each providing new challenges and adventures. The couple finally settled in Rockledge, Florida in 2005.

Donnell thrived in the medical field, working in a wide variety of challenging clinical specialties.

Donnell was a devout and proud Christian. She was a Florida Gator fanatic. She had a constant hunger for reading and learning, and was quite simply a bright light wherever she was or whatever she was doing.

Donnell’s desire to be cremated will be honored.
