Donna Sue Schuchman, 76 of Centralia passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. She was born October 7, 1941 in Mt. Vernon, daughter of Lawrence “Cookie” Hughes and Ila Mae (Whitlock) Hughes. She married Norman J. Schuchman in 1979 and he survives in Centralia.
In addition to her husband of 38 years, Norman J. Schuchman of Centralia, she is also survived by two daughters: Rhonda Nehrt and husband Bill of Wamac and Teri Lynn Miller of Johns Creek, Georgia; a grandson: Colby Wood and Michaela of Centralia; a great-grandson: Charlie Wood of Centralia; three sisters: Shirley Rowell of Kansas, Linda Trowbridge of Mt. Vernon, and Nancy Ham and husband Richard of Opdyke; special nieces and nephews: Suzanne, Rodney and wife Kayla, Shana, Sonya, Logan and Shayna; several nieces and nephews; and her four legged companion: Sassy. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence “Cookie” Hughes and Ila Mae (Whitlock) Hughes.
Donna was an entrepreneur and she owned and operated many businesses. She was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors, living in Florida and going to the beach, traveling, and her Volkswagen Beetle. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her husband, daughters, grandson, great-grandson, Sassy, family and friends.
