Donna McCarty Smith, 60, Anderson, died May 8, 2012 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis after a brief illness.
She was born September 10, 1951 in Anderson, and lived most of her life here. Donna had been a kindergarten teacher at 25th Street Elementary School.
Survivors include her husband, whom she married June 27, 1981, Greg Smith; son, Thomas Smith of Portland, Oregon; stepmother, Mariam McCarty; sisters, Susan Lamb Donald of Washington, IN, Becky Weatherford Lannie of Anderson & Judith McCauliff of California; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald & Sara Trussell McCarty.
