Donna Lee Whitfield McCann, 86, of Great Falls, Montana passed on from natural causes on December 1, 2015.

Donna was born in Red Cloud, Nebraska April 24, 1929 to Lloyd and Willa Whitfield. Donna moved to Fairfield, Montana in 1939 with her mother, Willa McPherson Lee and sister Helene. Donna met Donald McCann in Fairfield, Montana where they dated and were both cheerleaders at Fairfield High School. May 18, 1946, just after she graduated and turned 17, Donna married the love and sweetheart of her life, Donald McCann. They were blessed with five children. Donna had a reserved personality, with a really fun twist to it.

Donna worked for many years as a secretary at Consolidated Freightways, the Great Falls Public School Administration Office, as the Attendance Clerk at CM Russell High School and together with Donald in the family business, Big Sky Transfer and Storage/United Van Lines.

Donna is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which was deeply meaningful to her and afforded her opportunities to give service and develop many of her talents. She was a creative and artistic person which was apparent in her homemaking skills and other endeavors.

During 1964 Donna was hit by a car which sadly affected her health. She dealt with the challenges of this accident for the remaining years of her life. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband, Donald; daughters, Cynthia Jo McCann (David) Carlsen and Donelle Juanita McCann (Vern) Kersey; sons, Kelly Whitfield (Kim Luckman) McCann and Thomas Glenn McCann; sister, Helene Mesler; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Lee McCann (Cortez).
