BURGEN, Donna L. passed away December 16, 2011, in Kalamazoo. She was born November 19, 1942, in Allegan County to the late Richard and Mildred Jones Burgen.
Donna was employed as a press operator for the automotive industry for nearly 20 years until retiring. A strong lady, she also had her humorous side as she loved making people laugh. She had many favorite activities and among them were bingo and playing cards especially “shoot the moon”. But above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends, as she appreciated each and every day and lived life to the fullest.
Surviving Donna are her children, Donna Kevin Skees, Ed Sarah Burgen, Jerry Chris Allen Burgen, Terry Burgen, and Tressa Paul Cherry Wiedmayer; 7 grandchildren, Melissa, Neill, Ryan, Rachel, Randy, Rick, and Becky; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Burgen; and cousin and best friend, Kenneth Gillen.
Preceding her in death was her life partner, Charles Pogue.
