Donna JoAnn Booton, 73, of Galesburg, died at 10:22 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
Donna was born November 30, 1947 in Galesburg, the daughter of Harold A. and Edna Mae (Martenson) Booton.
Donna is survived by one son Daniel (Angel) Asencio of Carol Stream, IL; two brothers, Alan (Judy) Booton of Riverside, IL and David (Betsey) Booton of Peoria, IL; one sister, Carol (Robert) Neal of Galesburg; and two grandchildren, Harrison and Eliza.
Donna is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Keelie Thomas of Galesburg, whom she helped raise; her best friend, Peggy Danielson of Galesburg; and her beloved dog, Izzy. Along with her parents, Donna was preceded in death by one sister, Cheryl Rosenberg.
Donna worked for Pekin Insurance for many years, lastly working as a claims adjustor prior to retiring.
Donna was a faithful Christian and member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was extremely active, helping with youth group, the sewing circle, sang in the choir and had served as a church deacon.
Donna loved family and Christmas. One of the reasons she loved Christmas was she was able to spend it with her family.
Donna loved spoiling her family and enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews back to school shopping.
