St. Charles, ILDonna Vee Barnes, age 84, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, Friday, December 2, 2016, at The Vines at Country Side in Elgin, IL.
Donna was born May 27, 1932, in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Donald and Vida (Foxworthy) Barnes. She was raised in Elgin, IL and Daggett, MI and graduated from Stephenson High School. Following high school, Donna returned to Elgin to go through nurses training. She then married and raised her family in Elgin and Downers Grove. In 1990, Donna returned to Michigan and lived in Stephenson and Gladstone. Donna worked diligently on legislating for the disabled in Illinois. She also enjoyed singing, cooking, sewing, gardening and spending time with her family.

Brother: James (Sharon) Barnes of Towson, MD Nieces and Nephews: Donald and Vida Tessmer and Chris and Katie Barnes Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several cousins.
