Donn V. Smythe, III, age 73, of Danbury, CT, a former resident of New Canaan, CT died peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2013. Donn was the son of the late Donn Verner Smythe and Eleanor S. Smythe.
He is survived by his loving wife: Rosa and her son Bruno; by his sister: Ellen Smythe Brakeley of New Canaan, CT; two nieces: Elizabeth Warden of Denver, CO and Sarah Warden of Brookline, MA, his nephew: Robert Warden of New York, NY, and his five great-nieces and nephews.
Donn grew up in Southport, Connecticut and had a special love for the beach and Long Island Sound. He worked for Perkin Elmer in Wilton, CT for many years. He lived in New Canaan for 18 years until he moved to Danbury 13 years ago.
