Donetta J. “Tubby” Ringer, 87, of Bloomington, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 at Laughlin Memorial Hospital in Greeneville, TN. Born November 7, 1922 in Linton, she was the daughter of William and Blanche (Bullock) Tubby.
Donetta was an assembler for R.C.A. and General Electric for several years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and best friend, she enjoyed dancing, watching Indiana University basketball and other sports. She was of the Protestant Faith.
Survivors include three sons, Robert (Sherry) Ringer, George Ringer, Richard Ringer all of Bloomington, one daughter, Kathy Fox of Greenville, TN, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a nephew, Larry (Carolyn) Tubby of Linton, a niece, Mary Margaret (Dallas) Hart of Terre Haute, two sister-in-laws, Frieda Tubby of Terre Haute, Dot Ringer of Wilbur, IN, best-friend, Rosie Hazel of Bloomington, several other nieces and nephews.
Donetta was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Ringer (1978) and two brothers, William Jay Tubby and Wendall Tubby.
