Donald R. “Wrenchy” Riensche, 82, Beatrice, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Beatrice Community Hospital. He was born February 20, 1936, on the family farm near Filley, NE. Don worked for Lentz Motors presently Carriage Motors in Beatrice for 57 years as an automatic Transmission Specialist. He married Connie (Root) Leseberg on July 14, 1990. Don was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Beatrice, and the Antique Tractor Club. Don enjoyed going to Jam sessions at the senior center, and morning coffee club. He loved to weld, tinker, invent things, restoring tractors and made 2 from scratch, and especially his family.
Survivors include his wife, Connie of Beatrice; children Alan Riensche and wife Janet of Blue Springs, NE, Vicki Sorensen and husband Tom of Crete; step-children, Angel Cookus and husband Jimmy of Wymore, Chad Leseberg and wife Carrie of Beatrice; step son-in-law, David Lytle of Wymore; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Cramer of Beatrice; Darlene Schuerman and husband Wayne of Lincoln, NE, Kathleen Voter and husband Ron of Washington, KS; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Fred and Emma (Zimmerman) Riensche; first wife, Eleanor Powell; step-daughter, Cheri Lytle; step-grandson, Jake Cookus, and Justin Ankersen.
