Donald Ray Mars, 61, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015 in his home.
He was born September 12, 1953 in Terre Haute to William George “Jack” Mars and Eileen Mars Daily.
Don was a 1972 graduate of Terre Haute South High School; he entered the United States Navy the same year and served four years. In 1977 he was accepted into journeyman’s school and became a licensed electrician. He was an active member of the IBEW 725. Don retired in 2013 from Ketner & Sons Electric Company. He was greatly respected and loved by his family, friends and customers.
Don was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Viola Sue King Mars; his son, Dustin Mars; his daughter, Crystal Driskill and her husband, Bryan. He is also survived by his siblings, Judy Mars Anderson and John R. Mars and his wife, Cynthia; his grandchildren, Emilee Boucher-Mars, Hannah Sue Driskill, and Jake Joseph Driskill; his mother-in-law, Doris King; and numerous nieces and nephews.
