Rev. Donald Ray Edwards, the son of James Mae (Lynch) Edwards and Rush Edwards Jr. was born on April 18th, 1952 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma; both preceded him in death.  Rev. Edwards, a resident of Navarre, FL age 60, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 22nd, 2013.

Rev. Edwards was raised by his mother and father in Pawhuska, Oklahoma where he grew and flourished as a young child.   As a teen, he became the town barber and carried this talent over in his adult years where he served as the hair expert to all members of his family.  Rev. Edwards attended Pawhuska High School and graduated with the class of 1970.  He was known for his skill in basketball where he celebrated with his team as the winner of the 1970 Oklahoma Basketball State Champions.  He continued playing basketball at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he advanced as a programmer and later obtained employment at Phillips Petroleum and TRW Reda Pump as a computer programmer.

On February 2nd, 1974 Rev. Edwards was united in holy matrimony to Linda Shannon and was blessed with 39 years together.  He loved to tell anyone who would listen about how Linda caught his eye and become the love of his life.  Rev. Edwards was an outgoing, warm and fun-loving person who loved talking to people, even strangers.  His love for God and his family compelled him to become a minister in 1985.

He is preceded in death: two sisters, Sandra (Edwards) Cumby and Reta Sue Edwards, one brother; Connie Blacknoll, and last but not forgotten his grandson Micah Resjon Edwards.

Loved ones who are survived by and will treasure his memories are:   His loving wife, Linda G. Edwards; two daughters; Conecia Quarker and husband Pete of Magnolia, Delaware, Kimbra Parker and husband Steven of Fort Walton Beach, FL, one son; Neriah Edwards of Fort Walton Beach, FL, one sister; Jonnie Mae Edwards of Bartlesville, OK, five brothers;  Reginald Edwards and wife Jeanette of Westland, MI, Cody Edwards of Pawhuska, OK, Monie Edwards and wife Debbie of Summit, OK, Rush Edwards III of Dayton, OH, Shelton Edwards of Tulsa, OK.

Rev. Edwards was blessed with four grandchildren:  Nia Skye Quarker, Destiny Starr Quarker, Kaleb Lee Edwards, and Isaiah Ray Edwards.  Also close to his heart are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
