Donald Ray “Dewey†Bailey, Jr., 50, of 356 Cavalry Road, Chatham, VA died Saturday, August 18, 2012. Born August 8, 1962 in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of the late Donald Ray Bailey, Sr. and the late Jerlita Rigney Bailey. He was married to Terri D. Bailey who survives. Prior to his decline in health, he formerly worked with Walker Construction Co. for a number of years. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Allison Bailey of Danville; two sisters, Kathy Bailey of Danville and Vickie Bailey of Waynesboro; and a brother, Dale Bailey also of Danville. He is also survived by his nieces, Whitney Bailey, Makayla Bailey and his nephews, Barry Turner, Chris Taylor, Jake Burkett and Caleb Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a niece, Tamara Turner.
