DOORN, Donald R., Portage. Passed away Monday, August 30, 2010. He was born April 24, 1951 in Kalamazoo, the son of Jacob “Jack” and Pearl Kuilema Doorn and had been a lifelong resident of the area. For many years he worked for the Overhead Door Company and enjoyed golfing and boating. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Doorn and a sister, Patricia Nicholson.
Don is survived by his three daughters, Amy Steven Bartolameolli of Three Rivers, Michael Wood of Three Rivers and Deanne Doorn of Vicksburg; his mother, Pearl Doorn of Comstock; three sisters, Jacqueline Kenneth Terpstra of Portage, Carol Cramer of Otsego and Linda Hinds of Scotts; the mother of his children, Janet Doorn of Scotts; many nieces and nephews.
