Donald Richard Davis Sr., 75, of Freemansburg, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at his residence. He was the widower of Mary Grace (Reccek) Davis with whom he shared over 48 years of loving marriage with until she passed in 2019. Born on June 11, 1947 in Bethlehem he was a son of the late Paul A. and Mildred G. (Huhn) Davis.
Donald worked for Bethlehem, Corp., holding various positions from crane operator, welder, to working in shipping and receiving. Over lapping careers, he also worked as a maintenance man for the former Silver Creek Country Club, Steel Club in Hellertown for over 25 years until he fully retired. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam earning a Purple Heart. Donald enjoyed woodworking, coin collecting, sitting on his front porch talking with his brother, and was an avid hunter.
Survivors: Donald will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Dawn Davis-Paulich and husband Brian; granddaughters, Felisha, and Skylar Warrelmann; great granddaughter, Renee Rosemary Kazoroski on the way; brother, Alan D. Davis, and wife Debbie, and sister, Diane Adams, and husband James. He was predeceased by son, Donald R. Davis Jr.; brothers, Paul A. Davis Jr., Barry Davis, and Jeffrey Davis, and sister, Shirley A. Schmid.
