Donald P. McCarter, 41, of McCordsville, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017.
He was born August 21, 1975 in Indianapolis. Don was a retired U.S. Army veteran attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Don volunteered with the Wounded Warrior Project and enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by his mother: Sue (Joe) Ferrell of Fortville; brother: Jeff (Tracy) McCarter of New Castle; sister: Lisa (Steve) England of Lebanon; grandmother Lenora Hayes of Greenfield; nephew: Jeremy England; several aunts, uncles and cousins and his service dog Ori. Don was preceded in death by his father Patrick H. McCarter, sister Angela McCarter and grandfather Don Hayes.
