Donald Otto Nichols, 84, of Yellville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 6, 1935, in Cumberland County, Tennessee, the son of Leslie and Ollie Campbell Nichols. Don’s family moved to Ohio when Don was a young child. He lived there until 2018 when he moved to Yellville, Arkansas, to be with his family.

Don is preceded by his wife Penny, a daughter; Rebecca, a brother; Carl and his parents.

Don was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed those activities with his family and many friends while enjoying an adult beverage.

Don was very social and belonged to several organizations. He was a member of Amvets, Eagles, VFW, and enjoyed dancing at the Moose. Don was a veteran and served proudly in the U.S. Army where he earned a sharpshooter award.

Don is survived by his children; Brad Nichols (Stacy), Babbett Parker, and Francine Woods. Don also leaves a sister, Evelyn (Jim) Comstock.

Grandchildren: Donny Nichols, Debbie Nichols and her partner Heather Nichols, Mandy Parker, Brandon (Breanna) Nichols, Shane Nichols, Brian Nichols, Rachel Nichols, Samantha-Marie (Christopher) Allen and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
