Donald M. Zimmerman, 88 of Dakota, died Thursday, June 13, 2013. Born September 29, 1924 at Rock Grove he was the son of Harley and Vera (Meinert) Zimmerman.
He was a graduate of Orangeville High School. Don farmed in Stephenson County his whole life and also did milk testing for DHIA for many years.
On December 31, 1954 he married Virginia M. Frederick at Mt. Carroll, she preceded him in death on September 19, 1996. He was a member of the Mt. Carroll Church of God, in Mt. Carroll. He enjoyed sharing his garden with family and friends and visiting with everyone.
Surviving are two brother’s Harold (Jean) Zimmerman of Lena, Leo (Norma) Zimmerman of Dakota; many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife Virginia.
