It is with great sadness that the family of Donald M DeLong, 75, announces his passing after a brief illness on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, in Palmetto, Florida.
Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife, of 57 years, best friend and travel navigator, Donis, and his daughters, Deb (Mike) Morrow, and Diane (TJ) Barbato. Poppy will be sadly missed by his five granchildren, Jenny, Stephie, Katie. Mikey, and Lauren; and five great grandchildren Tasha, Anthony, Audrey, Maison and Bennett. Don’s great smile, warmth, sense of humor and hat will be greatly missed by his extended family at Frog Creek RV Resort, Palmetto, Florida.
Born on November 8, 1942 in Bethlehem, PA, he was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Eleanor DeLong.
Don was a USAF veteran and upon discharge, worked for the Bethlehem Steel for 33 years. He was an active member of USW Local 2600, and served as Recording Secretary for several years.
Upon retirement, Don and Donis traveled all across the United States He was an avid fishermen and made his own rods and lures.
