Donald Louis White was born in Washington, D.C. on December 12, 1938. He was the son of Robert B. and Catherine M. White who predeceased him. After graduating from Northwestern High School in Maryland and attending the University of Maryland he entered the Maryland National Guard going to Fort Bliss, Texas to Nike Missile Control School where he was the Honor Graduate.
He began his working career by getting his Real Estate License in Maryland and after a short time started in the manufacturing field of electronics.
A convert to Catholicism, Mr. White was Chairman of the first Advisory Board appointed by Bishop Daily to Pope John Paul II High School in Boca Raton and supervised many fund raising projects for the Carmelite Friars.
In 1998, Pope John Paul II appointed him to the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre where he rose to the rank of Knight Grand Cross. Don also joined his wife in supporting the Palm Beach Diocese by supporting various events even chairing the Black Tie Event three times at the Breakers in Palm Beach in support of Catholic Education.
Mr. White is survived by his wife, Rita of 56 years and two sons, Donald (Leah) of Boca Raton, FL. and Kevin (Claudia) of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by four grandsons, Sean, Drew, Harrison, and Collin and one granddaughter, Kelly. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert B. White and is survived by his younger brother, Steven of Delaware. Two nephews and one niece also survive him.
